Why I took it
Section titled “Why I took it”I chose this Pro Lab to move beyond isolated exercises and work in a setting where progress depends on staying organised across a long stretch of independent study. My aim was less about any single skill and more about building a dependable way of working when the path ahead is not spelled out.
What it developed
Section titled “What it developed”The clearest outcome was a stronger working method: approaching unfamiliar systems methodically, keeping careful notes, and separating what the evidence actually supports from what I merely assumed. It also strengthened persistence and self-direction — deciding what to investigate next and recognising when to change course.
More broadly, it deepened my appreciation of how offensive security and defensive awareness connect. Understanding how systems can fail is part of understanding how to protect them.
Reflection
Section titled “Reflection”The hardest part was not any one task but sustaining disciplined judgement across a large, open-ended environment. I finished with more respect for documentation and for the difference between a hunch and a demonstrated result. The credential marks progress in that habit.
